On December 9th at 7 a.m., Sandy Springs Toastmasters met with seven members present via Zoom.

Bud Otto opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The meeting was then turned over to our president, Morgan Henderson.  Morgan welcomed members, and then introduced our Toastmaster for the day, Una Richards.  Una reviewed the meeting roles.

Foluso's word of the day was Penultimate (adjective). In a series, it refers to the next to last item. Example: I am glad it is the penultimate day of the week because that means it is getting closer to the weekend!

·       Morgan Henderson led members on Table Topics and served as ah counter/grammarian.

·       Una Richards served as timer vote counter.

·       Morgan Henderson led members in Table Topics.

·       Una Richards won Best Table Topics.

·       John Ross gave a speech about the role of a mentor in his professional development.

·       Jim Owen gave the second speech about how an iPhone can be used to improve the vacation experience now that people are getting back on vacations with loved ones.

·       John was voted speech winner and Crystal evaluator winner. The meeting was adjourned.

The agenda for our next meeting will be of a holiday celebratory nature and will consist of table topics only.

Table topics will be random discussions and brainstorming for the club's direction in 2022.

Please be reminded to fill out the survey. We have had some responses so far, but we need more to be better informed about the ideas our members have about the club and suggestions for the path(s) to follow going forward.
