Springs Toastmasters met via Zoom with eleven members present.
Bud
Otto led us in the pledge of allegiance, and then turned the meeting over to
our president, Una Richards.
Una
gave updates on club events and then introduced our newest member, Henry
Girard. Welcome Henry!
After
announcements, she turned the meeting over to our Toastmaster of the day - Sam Gadebusch.

Anastasia Pass provided the word of the day: Judicious. It
means “having good judgment or prudence”.
·
Andy Kallenberg gave us the joke of the day.
·
Apoorva was timer/vote counter.
·
Riquet Caballero led us in Table Topics with questions on “Self
Esteem”.
·
Una Richards won best table topics for her answer on following her
mother’s advice.
Anastasia
Pass then gave her speech on How to Look Good for a Zoom meeting.
She gave us helpful tips on adjusting the computer, so we are centered,
eliminating distracting backgrounds, and adjusting our lighting for the best
effect. Errington Watkins then gave his evaluation of her speech.
Sam
then gave his grammarian report.
The
Meeting was adjourned.
The

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Una
announced that the Rotary Club is looking for a speaker to present a program
for their club on what Toastmasters is all about.
The
meeting date is March 8th, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:15 pm and will be
held at a local hotel. If you’re interested in having an opportunity to
speak outside of Toastmasters, this is your chance. Please contact Una
for details if you are interested.
