Sergeant at Arms, Bud Otto, called the
meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
President, Una Richards encouraged members to
attend area and district contests to get exposure as well as to network with
other clubs. Area contests and events are posted on the district website
at, www.d44toastmasters.org.
Una also shared the 2018-2019 Presidential
Distinguished Ribbon presented to
the Sandy Springs Toastmasters Club for its members hard work and dedication in
achieving such high standards.
Errington Watkins, Toastmaster for the
day led the meeting then turned it over to Table Topics Master, Jimmy Sidor who
led an interesting session. Jimmy selected a group of vocabulary words such as
refined, mundane, sufficient and reserved and instructed each member to choose
one of the words to incorporate in their answer to his question.

inspiring speech entitled, The Mentor Who Saved My Life.
