Sandy Springs Toastmasters 04/25/19 Meeting Recap
Bud Otto
called the meeting to order with the pledge of allegiance.
Paige Kerr,
our Club President, gave opening remarks then turned the meeting over to the
Toastmaster of the Day Magdalena Raj.
Magdalena
quickly filled the roles and called on David Kulze to give the word of the day:
Ubiquitous- Present, appearing, or found
everywhere.
It was now
time for the Table Topics portion of the meeting. Etsehiwot Ezra, the Table
Topics Master of the day, had prepared questions revolving around our city Atlanta.
Etsehiwot asked questions such as “What do you like most about Atlanta?”, “What
is your favorite Atlanta sports team?”, and “Who is your favorite celebrity
from Atlanta?” Paige Kerr won Best Table Topics Answer.
The group
took a five-minute break then reconvened. We had one scheduled speaker for the
day, Andy Kallenberg. Andy gave a very personal and engaging
speech about Autism and why we should all care about it. The group gave an
insightful evaluation of Andy’s speech.
Andy won Best
Speaker.
Una Richards,
our Vice President of Education, went over next week’s schedule. The meeting
was then adjourned.
