Sandy Springs Toastmasters Sept 12, 2019 Meeting Recap & Roles for September 19

Sergeant at Arms, Bud Otto, called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Toastmaster, Magdalena Raj led us through the meeting. Club President, Una Richards, made two announcements:
·       District 44 is offering training for their Speakers Bureau on Saturday, October 5 in Duluth, “From Fee to Free”. The Speakers Bureau is a select group of trained speakers who volunteer their time to speak at colleges, civic, associations, corporations, and professional groups. If you're interested in reaching a larger audience, gaining experience and getting unbiased feedback on your presentations, contact Cindy Cannon at
·       Toastmasters membership dues for the 6 month term beginning October 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020 are due by September 30. The dues are $51.00 for the term with $45.00 going to Toastmasters International and $6.00 coming to our local Sandy Springs Club.  Please visit our website: to pay using the drop down menu.

A highlight of the meeting was Table Topics Master, Bud Otto’s, journey through history with serious topics such as the war on terrorism, the impact of the polio vaccine, and the growth and decline of large cities.
