Hello Sandy Springs Toastmasters! A few announcements before the recap:

·         Parking at Campbell-Stone: It is ok to park in both Resident AND Visitor parking but NOT spaces marked RESERVED! We are working on formal permission to park in the lot next to the Campbell-Stone parking lot.

Sandy Springs Toastmasters 02/28/19 Meeting Recap

Bud Otto, our Sergeant At Arms, started the meeting promptly at 7 am with the pledge of Allegiance.

The presiding officer of the day, Etsehiwot Ezra, made opening remarks and welcomed all our guests. She then turned the meeting over to the Toastmaster of the day, Jeanne McDaniel.

Jeanne quickly filled the roles and gave the Word of the Day. Droll: Amusing in an odd way; whimsically humorous; waggish.

Alex Brinkman, the Table Topics Master of the Day, lead us through the Table Topics portion of the meeting with a fun set of thought-provoking questions. Magdalena Raj won Best Table Topics Answer.

The group took a brief break then reconvened. Colbi Elison and Magdalena Raj, our two scheduled speakers of the day, gave their speeches. Crystal Reeves gave an insightful evaluation of Colbi’s speech. Bud gave an astute evaluation of Magdalena’s speech.

Colbi won Best Speaker and Crystal won Best Evaluator.

Etsehiwot Ezra went over the upcoming week’s roles and the meeting was adjourned.
