Sandy Springs Toastmasters 02/21/19 Meeting Recap

Bud Otto called the meeting to order with the pledge of allegiance.

Paige Kerr, our Club President, gave opening remarks and welcomed our guests Cary Williams and Matt Num. Paige went ahead and turned the meeting over to the Toastmaster of the Day Ralston Madouze.

Ralston filled all the roles then gave the Word of the Day: Prognosticate- To foretell an event in the future.

It was now time for the Table Topics portion of the meeting. Ralston called on Una Richards to come to the stage so she could take over this portion of the meeting as she was the Table Topics Master of the day. Una’s questions revolved around the theme “Heart”. Some of the questions asked were “Have you ever written a love letter?” and “Why do women live longer than men?” Alex Brinkman won Best Table Topics Answer.

The group took a five-minute break then reconvened. We had one scheduled speaker for the day, Paige Kerr. Paige gave an engaging speech titled “Breaking Bad Habits”. Jim Owen gave an insightful evaluation of Paige’s speech.

Paige won Best Speaker and Jim won Best Evaluator.
