Sandy Springs Toastmasters Meeting Recap for Oct. 4 and Role Assignments for Oct. 11

Hello, Sandy Springs Toastmasters!

Sandy Springs 10/04/18 Toastmasters Meeting Recap

Bud Otto, our Sergeant at Arms, opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. We had ten members in attendance and one guest.

Our Club President, Paige Kerr, gave opening remarks then turned the meeting over to our Toastmaster of the day, Etsehiwot Ezra.

Etsehiwot gave a warm welcome to our guest Dawud Muhammad then she went on to fill the roles of the day. Once the roles were filled, Etsehiwot called the Table Topics Master of the day, Crystal Reeves to the podium.

Crystal’s theme for her table topics was based on “The best things in life”. She had questions such as “What is the best pet you ever had?”, “What stands out for you as the best restaurant where you’ve eaten?”, and “You’re going on a long road trip. What would be the best driving music?” Dawud, our first time guest, won Best Table Topics Answer for his response to the question “What is the best used item you purchased?”

The group took a short break and reconvened. Magdalena Raj, our only speaker for the day, gave a speech titled “A break, a pause, and space”. Ralston Medouze gave an insightful evaluation of Magdalena’s speech.

Magdalena won Best Speaker and Ralston won Best Evaluator.
