Bud Otto called the meeting to order with the pledge of
allegiance and the valuable information that April 26th is National
Pretzel Day.
Ralston Medouze, the officer of the day, filled in for President, Anastasia Pass, and introduced our Toastmaster of the Day, Colbi Ellison who reminded us all to “Trust the Process” in reaching our goals.
Bud Otto presented the word of the day: Circumlocution: A long way of expressing things or “Beating
Around the Bush”. Challenge to all to use this one!
Steve Bragg entertained us with the Joke of the Day, and
then we moved on to Table Topics led by Chris Ashkouti who warned us that
today’s topics were “all over the place”.
Jim Owen won Best Table Topic for
his response about traveling with his wife to Croatia.
After a short break, we heard two excellent speeches. Ralston Medouze gave his fifth speech
entitled “Family” and told about the first time he traveled to Guyana to meet
his great grandmother.
Mitch gave his Icebreaker speech (impromptu) about why he
enjoys his job as a wealth manager that helps families.
Crystal evaluated Ralston’s speech. Bud evaluated Mitch’s speech.
Mitch won Best Speaker.
Crystal won Best Evaluator.
Hope everyone has a great week and look forward to seeing you May 3.
