August 3 Sandy Springs TM Meeting Recap:

Hello Fellow Sandy Springs Toastmasters and guests!

Our Vice President Education, Melinda Schmitt kicked off the meeting reminding us that the humorous speech contest for District 44 is on August 19. Volunteers are still needed which is a perfect opportunity to cheer on our very own Paige Kerr who will speak at this event. It's also a great way to get closer to reaching your Competent Leadership award. Please mark your calendars and see the attachment below for more information.

Jim Owen led us in a round of Table Topics assigning questions that you might hear during an interview. Great practice for those of us in need of refreshing our interview skills. New member, Velma Trayham won for her answer on the positive way she expects people would describe her.

Una Richards gave her first speech, the Ice Breaker! Although she claimed to be nervous, she did a fabulous job and we celebrated her accomplishment by presenting her with some Ice Breaker Mints. Congratulations, Una!

We welcomed two guests this week, Sailaja Narukula and Ivy Nnakabonge. We were grateful for their presence and look forward to seeing them at future events.

Everyone have a great weekend and we will see you next Thursday!
